Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Buick LaCrosse- Video
Today in our 2016 Buick Lacrosse, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118497. Now, this wiring harness for your Lacrosse is going to give you your turn signals, it's going to give you your brake signals, it's going to give you running lights, it's going to be very effective for small utility trailers or for cargo carriers that you might want to hook up. The thing I like about this Tekonsha system is that you're getting a standard module box which is powered on its own, so you're not drawing any power through the vehicle's system. And it also gives you isolation, so it's going to isolate whatever you're plugging in from your vehicles wiring system.Essentially that means if you have shorts in the trailer, which tends to be pretty common, that's not going to be transferred into your vehicle, so we're not going to have to worry about that. It offers, as you can see, the standard 4-pole trailer connection. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Buick LaCrosse- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Buick Lacrosse, we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha T-1 vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118497. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. When it's not in use, we can simply store it out of the way beneath our spare tire cover here. That way, when we load any cargo in and out of our trunk, it won't get damaged. When we want to tow our trailer, we'll pull up on our spare tire cover here, pull our wiring harness out, drape it to the side here of our trunk latch so it doesn't get pinched.As you can see, we have an adequate length wire, which ends up right by our trailer hitch receiver. This gives us plenty of length to hook up to our trailer. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Buick Lacrosse, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 56098.Now, this is what your wiring kit's going to look like when you pull it out of your packaging. Of course, this is the connector that we're going to have. This is our four pole flat trailer connector. This gives right turn and brake, left turn and brake, running light signal, and ground. This will allow us to power small trailers, cargo carriers, whatever it is that we might want to have behind our Lacrosse.Now, to do this we've got a converter box. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Buick LaCrosse 56098- Video
Today on our 2011 Buick LaCrosse, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector, art number 56098. With our trunk open, we're going to go ahead and remove a coverings in here, the part that covers up the spare tire. Next, we're going to need to remove this rear threshold or scuff panel piece. Now to remove the scuff panel, you need to use a large flat head screwdriver or a trim panel removal tool, it look something like this. Go ahead and set that aside for now. Next, we're going to need to come here to the inner trunk lining and there's some push fasteners that secure this lining in place. We have one here and one here. Go ahead and release those. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Buick LaCrosse- Video
Today on our 2012 Buick Lacrosse, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118497. First, we'll open up the rear cargo door on our trunk and then we'll need to access the wiring behind the tail lights. To access the tail lights, we'll first remove the spare tire cover and rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we'll gently pry out on the bottom and then pull up, popping all the fasteners free from the sheet metal. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the pushpin fasteners securing the carpet behind the tail lights. Now, we can pull the carpet away. more
